Vinci Construction Grands Projets, leader of a consortium of construction companies, and Middle East Dredging Company – Medco –(a subsidiary of CFE, a Vinci Group company) signed the design-build contract for the causeway between Qatar and Bahrain with the Qatar-Bahrain Causeway Foundation yesterday.

A new report from Global Investment House on the banking sector in Qatar says the economy of Qatar maintained its upward momentum until 2006 as it registered staggering growth of 33.7 per cent and 33.8 per cent in 2006 and 2005 respectively.

Sama Dubai, the international real estate investment and development arm of Dubai Holding, today announced the signing of a strategic 20-year partnership agreement between Dubai Towers - Doha and Qatar District Cooling Company for the supply of 6,600 refrigeration tons (RT) of district cooling to service a total building area of over 150,000 sq meters.
