Due to Belgiums heavy, and much welcome, presence expected at Project Qatar 2010, we have taken on two different representatives of the always well- represented Belgian pavilion. Keeping in tow with our local feature of the week, and of course the entire construction theme of Project Qatar, we present two very different exhibitors, both impressive in their own right.
ALADIN SIAM, DESIGNER & ARCHITECT Who is Aladin Siam? Both an independent designer and architect, and part of the Belgian Consultants group, Aladin Siam is every inch the embodiment of a revolutionary artist. Siam aims to bring awareness and ideas in architecture and design, inspired by nature and the world around us. Having heard about the possibilities of spreading the word about his methodologies and inspirations from fellow Belgians, the Belgium Trade Office, also known as the Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (AWEX), Siam will be present as general manager of Belgian Consultants group at Project Qatar this year. We caught up with him for a little insight on what he expects from this experience.
Aspirations fit for Qatar Siam, and the group he represents, endeavour to become one of the future builders of Qatar Vision 2030. Awareness surrounding the nations goal has clearly surpassed regional boundaries, infecting organisations large and small and instigating a worldwide shift of interest to what Qatar has yet to offer.
Project Qatar 2010 expectations Siam and Consultants Belgium aim to draw recognition as one of Belgiums most creative and innovation consulting offices in the field of patrimonial design projects, sustainable environmental developments and cultural products innovation. Through exposure gained within the context of Project Qatar 2010, this goal is a possible reality for Siam and his team.
Exhibition material Amongst the tangible material for exhibiting at Project Qatar, is a main architectural landmark project proposal for Qatar Vision 2030, an urban solar lighting project design, providing insight to the groups sustainability conscious psyche, and a patrimonial Qatari carpet project with an innovative production process.
Project Qatar goals Siam and the Consultants team aim to foster new potential relationships and possible consulting contracts, plus new product development ventures as part of their Project Qatar experience. With particular partnerships in mind, candidates like Qatari Diyar, real estate giants Barwa, Qatar Foundation (QF) and the Qatari ministry at large, and other that Siam feels relate to the groups field should all be aware of this European force.
