The Venue
The Qatar International Exhibition Center (QIEC), has a prestigious location in the center of the capital city, Doha. The purpose-built exhibition hall is an ideal venue, having customs clearance facilities on site and adjacent to the diplomatic area, for ease of liaison with Embassies and Commercial Sections.

The QIEC occupies an attractive site of 82,000 square meters, with an indoor exhibition hall of 10,000 square meters, a 8,000-square meter outdoor exhibition area, a paved parking with a capacity of more than 1,000 cars, in addition to 5,000 square meters of goods yards, loading and unloading bays and container storage parks.

Insurance:
It is the EXHIBITOR'S RESPONSIBILITY to insure that their exhibits are covered by adequate insurance cover for the shipment + duration, re-packing and re-exporting from the exhibition.

Security
24-hour security is provided by the organizers during the show. However, exhibitors are advised to take adequate precautions and insure that all articles and valuable items are insured. The organizers will not be responsible for the safety of articles of any kind brought into the exhibition hall by the exhibitors, their staff or any person whatsoever.

Stand Personnel
Multilingual temporary staff are available, please contact the organizers.

Exhibitors' Passes
Exhibitors and their staff will be issued passes which must be worn at all times, during before and after the exhibition.

Show Catalogue
The show catalogue will be printed in English and will contain general exhibition information, a layout plan of the stands, an entry of 50 words from each exhibitor, a product index, exhibitor's complete contact information and advertisements.

Exhibitor's attention is drawn to the advantages to be gained from advertising in the catalogue, which will be retained by visitors and used as a source of reference for many months after the show. For more detailed information, please contact the organizer.

Telecommunications
An international telephone and telefax service is available from the Business Center. Also, from telephones, cellular phones and fax machines to video conferencing and internet access: You can rent equipment to fit your every technical requirement. Restautrant
A fast food and beverage service is available at the cafeteria located at the left hand side of the open air exhibition area.

Parking
Ample car parking facilities are available adjacent to the exhibition center.

Seminars / Conferences
For all phases of trade fair planning, implementation and follow-up. Conference Room and facilities are available upon request.

Visitor Registration
Trade visitors will fill a registration ticket before entering the hall. A pre-registration system has been developed by IFP Group and is designed to facilitate easy registration of international trade visitors, allowing them immediate entry to the exhibition ground.
A comprehensive show catalogue will be available at the registration counters, containing a general floor plan with exhibitor's stand numbers, country and product indexes, complete exhibitor information, and promotional advertisements for exhibitors. Show catalogues are distributed free of charge to trade visitors.

Transportation
Automobile rental companies provide self-driven cars or cars with a chauffer.

Credit Cards
Visitors will find that many credit cards are accepted in larger establishments: Master Card, Visa, American Express, Diners Club.

Currency
Foreign currency can be exchanged at any bank. The monetary unit is the Qatari Riyal, and the average exchange rate is 1QR = 3.65 USD.

Travel Accomodation & Visa's

Air Travel
Doha, Qatar is well connected by its international airport to major world capitals. Please contact the official travel agent or the organisers for your travel requirements.

Accomodation
Doha is well provided with hotels of international standard. However, exhibitors are recommended to reserve at an early stage direcly or through their travel agent or apply for the organiser’s list of hotels.

Passport & Visa Requirements
All visitors to Qatar need a valid Entry Visa, which can be obtained through the Qatari Embassies. In countries with no Qatari diplomatic representation, Exhibitors should contact their hotels.
Please note the following points:
a) Visas are required by everyone with the exception of travellers holding passports from the following countries, who can obtain visas at the airport:

b) All GCC residents do not require an entry visa to Qatar
The Organizers cannot be held responsible for any Exhibitor who fails to obtain his/her Visa in time for the show.

Health
Although vaccinations are not mandatory, it is recommended for the exhibitors to be inoculated against typhoid, cholera and tetanus.
